Shaman Akkanat prefers working with natural materials and he is the keeper of traditions passed down to him through centuries by his ancestors. It's then obvious why he lives a traditional Native lifestyle connected to nature in the forest, 100 kilometers from the city Novokuznetsk. He is truly indigenous. Art historians say that his works possess unique aboriginal beauty. His artwork posses the true spirit of nature which brings calmness to one’s soul in the stressful times of urban life that we live in. Shaman Akkanat ‘s artwork is in private collections of people from Russia, Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Finland, and in the Novokuzntesk Art Museum.
